How do I know which nail service is right for me?

It comes down to three things: the condition of your natural nails, how long you want them, and how much upkeep fits your schedule. If your nails are thin or peeling, a strengthening service like builder gel is usually the better starting point. If you want instant length for an event, Gel-X or acrylic will get you there faster. Tell your technician what you do for work and how often you can come back, and we will point you to the service that actually holds up for your life.

What is the difference between builder gel, Gel-X, dip powder, and acrylic?

Builder gel is a flexible overlay that adds strength on top of your own nail and gets filled as it grows out. Gel-X uses a soft gel tip that covers the whole nail for instant length. Dip powder is a colored powder sealed with a bonding liquid, which gives a thicker, harder finish than polish alone. Acrylic is sculpted from liquid and powder and gives you the most strength and the most freedom on shape and length. Strength runs roughly acrylic, then dip, then Gel-X, then builder gel, and the natural look runs the other direction.

How often should I get my nails done?

Most guests come in every two to three weeks. Fast nail growth, a job that keeps your hands in water, or a longer shape will pull you toward two weeks. Shorter nails, a neutral color, and desk work will stretch you closer to three or four. Booking your next visit before you leave is the easiest way to stay on a rhythm.

Do I need an appointment or can I walk in?

We take walk-ins whenever we have an opening, and we keep time set aside for them. That said, booking ahead is the only way to lock in a specific technician, a specific time, or a longer service like a full set with nail art. Weekends and the hours right after work fill up first.

How far ahead should I book?

For a weekday visit, a day or two is usually plenty. For Saturday, a specific technician, or anything with detailed nail art, give us three to five days. Holiday weeks, prom season, and the run-up to weddings book out further, so reach out early if you have a date you cannot move.

Can I request a specific technician?

Yes, and we encourage it once you find someone whose work you like. Request them by name when you book. If they are out or fully booked, we will tell you upfront and offer the closest option rather than surprising you at the door.

How long will my appointment take?

A polish change runs about 30 minutes. A gel manicure is closer to an hour. A full set of Gel-X or acrylic usually takes 90 minutes to two hours depending on length, shape, and design. Pedicures range from about 45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on which one you choose. If you are on a tight schedule, say so when you book and we will steer you to something that fits.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes. You can pick up a physical gift card at the salon during business hours, and digital gift cards are available online through our booking page. They work on any service and never expire on you mid-year.

What forms of payment do you take?

We take major credit and debit cards, contactless payments from your phone, and cash. Gratuity can go on the card or in cash, whichever is easier for you.

Builder Gel

What is builder gel?

Builder gel is a thicker, sculpting gel that goes over your natural nail and cures under a lamp. It builds a stronger structure than gel polish while still feeling light and looking like your own nail. Think of it as a reinforced overlay rather than an extension.

Who is builder gel best for?

Guests whose nails bend, peel, or snap before they get any length. If you have been trying to grow your nails out and keep losing one right when it gets somewhere, builder gel gives the nail a stronger frame to grow under. It is also a good landing spot if you are coming off acrylic and want something lighter.

Can builder gel be filled, or does it come off every time?

It gets filled. Your technician files the surface down, rebalances the shape, and fills in the new growth at the base. Full removal only happens if the product has lifted badly or your technician sees something in the nail worth resetting.

Can builder gel add length?

A little, yes. Builder gel can be sculpted slightly past the free edge for a modest extension, or paired with a tip if you want more. Once you are chasing real length, Gel-X or acrylic will hold better.

How long does builder gel last?

Two to three weeks before you will want a fill, and the product itself can be maintained for months with regular fills. Your growth rate and how hard your hands work are the two things that move that number.

What is the difference between builder gel and dip powder?

Builder gel is a gel system that cures under a lamp and gets filled. Dip is an acrylic powder system sealed with liquid, and it is usually taken off and redone rather than filled. Builder gel flexes more, which is why we lean on it for guests trying to grow out thin or damaged nails.

Does builder gel damage your natural nails?

Not when it is applied and removed correctly. Most damage people blame on gel comes from picking it off or from over-filing during removal. Come in for removal and your nails should look the same underneath as the day you started.

How do I take care of builder gel nails?

Cuticle oil daily, gloves for cleaning and dishes, and never use your nails as a tool to open, scrape, or pry anything. If a corner lifts, do not peel it. Call us and we will fix it.

Gel-X Extensions

What are Gel-X extensions?

Gel-X is a soft gel extension. Instead of sculpting the nail by hand, your technician bonds a full-cover soft gel tip to your nail and cures it under a lamp. You get instant length and a clean shape, and it feels lighter than acrylic.

Who is Gel-X best for?

Anyone who wants length and a sharp shape without the weight of acrylic, and anyone who likes changing their look often. Because the whole set comes off and gets replaced, Gel-X is easy to switch from long almond one month to short square the next.

How long does Gel-X last?

Two to three weeks on average, and some guests stretch it to four. Nail growth is the usual limit rather than the product failing.

What is the difference between Gel-X and acrylic?

Gel-X uses a pre-shaped tip that covers the entire nail, so it goes on faster and sits lighter. Acrylic is built by hand from liquid and powder, so it is stronger and there is no limit on shape or length. If you work with your hands hard, acrylic usually wins on durability. If you want light and natural-feeling, Gel-X wins on comfort.

What is the difference between Gel-X and builder gel?

Gel-X adds length with a tip and gets replaced as a full set. Builder gel reinforces your own nail and gets filled. One is about length, the other is about strength.

Does Gel-X ruin your natural nails?

No, when a trained technician preps and removes it properly. Damage almost always traces back to popping the tips off at home, which takes layers of natural nail with it. Let us soak them off and your nails stay intact.

Can Gel-X be filled?

Gel-X is generally removed and reapplied rather than filled, because the tip covers the full nail plate. Some sets can be refreshed depending on how they have grown out, and your technician will tell you at the appointment which one makes sense.

How is Gel-X removed?

It gets soaked off in the salon. The surface is filed to break the seal, then the tips release with acetone. It takes patience, not force. Never pull or clip them off.

Dip Powder

What are dip powder nails?

Dip powder is a very fine acrylic powder applied over a bonding liquid, layer by layer, then sealed. There is no lamp involved. You end up with a hard, glossy finish that is thicker and more durable than gel polish.

How long does dip powder last?

Two to three weeks before growth at the base starts to show. Dip holds color well and resists chipping, so most guests come back on schedule rather than because something broke.

Is dip powder stronger than gel polish?

Yes. Gel polish is a thin color coat that cures under a lamp. Dip builds thickness in layers, so it protects the nail more and stands up better to daily wear.

Can dip powder add length?

Yes, with a tip underneath. Dip on its own is an overlay on your natural nail, but your technician can add tips first and then apply dip over them if you want extra length.

Do you fill dip powder nails?

Usually not. Dip is typically removed and reapplied at each visit, which keeps the nail clean and the product thin. Acrylic and builder gel are the systems we fill.

How is dip powder removed?

Filed to break the top seal, then soaked in acetone until the layers release. Come in for it. Prying dip off is one of the fastest ways to end up with thin, tender nails.

Is dip powder sanitary?

It is when the salon does it right. We never dip a guest into a shared jar. Powder is poured over the nail or a dedicated container is used per guest, and anything that touches your nail is either single-use or fully disinfected.

Acrylic

What are acrylic nails?

Acrylic is made by combining a liquid monomer with acrylic powder and sculpting it onto the nail, either over your own nail or over a tip. It hardens in air and gives you the strongest, most customizable enhancement we offer.

Who should choose acrylic?

Guests who want real length, a dramatic shape, or a set that survives a physically demanding job. If you have tried other systems and kept breaking them, acrylic is usually the answer.

How long do acrylic nails last?

Indefinitely, as long as you keep up with fills. Most guests come in every two to three weeks so the base can be filled and the shape evened back out before the set gets top-heavy.

Can acrylic nails be filled?

Yes. Your technician files the surface, fills the new growth at the cuticle, and rebuilds the balance of the nail. A full removal and new set is only needed when there is lifting, a crack, or you want a big change.

Can I change my color or design at a fill?

Yes. Color and art come off with the top layer during the fill, so you can go a completely different direction every visit without starting the set over.

What is the difference between acrylic and Gel-X?

Acrylic is sculpted by hand and is the stronger of the two, with no ceiling on length or shape. Gel-X uses a soft gel tip, applies faster, and feels lighter. Strength versus comfort is the real tradeoff.

Does acrylic smell?

Acrylic monomer has a noticeable odor. We run ventilation and source-capture at the stations to keep it down, so the room does not smell like a chemistry lab. If you are sensitive to smells, Gel-X is the quieter option.

How are acrylic nails removed?

Filed down and soaked off in the salon. Never clip, pry, or pull them. Acrylic bonds hard, and forcing it off takes natural nail with it.

Manicures

What is included in a manicure?

The base of every manicure is nail shaping, cuticle care, a hand treatment, a short massage, and your finish of choice. Longer manicures add things like exfoliation, a mask, or hot towels. The service description on our booking page lists exactly what comes with each one.

What is the difference between regular polish and gel polish?

Regular polish air-dries and comes off with standard remover, which makes it easy to change at home but easier to smudge and chip. Gel polish cures under an LED lamp, so it is dry when you stand up and it holds its shine for two to three weeks. Gel needs to be soaked off rather than wiped off.

How long does a gel manicure last?

Around two to three weeks. Nail growth at the base usually shows before the color gives out.

What is the difference between a gel manicure and a builder gel manicure?

A gel manicure is color and shine. A builder gel manicure adds a layer of structure under that color, so the nail is reinforced instead of just painted. If your nails are thin or you keep breaking them, the builder gel version is worth the upgrade.

Can I get a manicure if my nails are short or bitten?

Absolutely, and it is one of the most common reasons people come in. A shaped, clean manicure on short nails looks intentional, and builder gel over bitten nails gives them a chance to grow out with some protection. No one here is going to make you feel bad about it.

Should I take gel polish off at home?

Please do not. Picking or peeling gel takes layers of your nail plate with it, and that thin, sensitive feeling afterward is real damage. A soak-off in the salon takes about 15 minutes and costs a fraction of fixing damaged nails later.

Do you offer manicures for men?

Yes. Plenty of our guests come in for a clean, buffed manicure with no color at all. Shape, cuticles, and a natural finish, in and out in about half an hour.

Pedicures

What is included in a pedicure?

Every pedicure includes a soak, nail trimming and shaping, cuticle care, callus smoothing, a massage, and your polish of choice. Upgraded pedicures layer in exfoliation, masks, hot towels, and longer massage time. Each option on the menu spells out what is included.

What is the Earth Pedicure?

The Earth Pedicure is our signature service and the one guests come back for. It is our longest and most restorative pedicure, built around a full soak, thorough exfoliation, a treatment mask, hot towels, and an extended massage. If you are only going to do one thing for yourself this month, make it this.

Which pedicure should I choose?

Pick based on how much time you want to spend and what your feet need. If it is maintenance between visits, the classic is plenty. If you are on your feet all day, dealing with dry heels, or just want to disappear for an hour, go with the Earth Pedicure. Ask at check-in and we will help you decide.

How often should I get a pedicure?

Every three to four weeks for most people. Toenails grow slower than fingernails, so the schedule is more forgiving. In summer or if you run, walk, or stand for work, every three weeks keeps calluses from building back up.

How long does gel polish last on toes?

Longer than on your hands, often four to six weeks. Your toenails grow slower and your feet do not take the same daily beating your hands do.

Can I get a pedicure if I have a cut, an ingrown toenail, or a fungal infection?

If you have an open wound, an active infection, or a nail that is clearly infected, we will not be able to perform the service, and that rule protects you as much as the next guest. Depending on what we see, we may recommend waiting until it heals or checking with your doctor or a podiatrist first. Call ahead if you are unsure and we will tell you honestly.

Should I shave my legs before a pedicure?

Skip it that day. Freshly shaved skin has tiny abrasions that make exfoliation and massage sting, and it is more sensitive to product. Shave the day before instead.

Do you offer pedicures for diabetic guests?

Yes, with extra care. Let us know when you book so your technician can skip aggressive callus work and blade tools, keep everything gentle, and pay close attention to the skin. If you have neuropathy or circulation issues, we would rather work alongside your doctor guidance than guess.

Nail Art

Do you do custom nail art?

Yes, and it is one of the things we are pushing hardest right now. Hand-painted designs, chrome, French variations, ombre, 3D work, seasonal sets. Bring a photo and we will tell you straight whether we can match it, adapt it, or do something better.

How do I book nail art?

Add the nail art option when you book, or mention it when you call. Detailed sets need extra time, and the most common reason a design gets simplified is that it was not on the schedule. Sending a reference photo ahead of time helps a lot.

How much does nail art cost?

It is priced by complexity and how many nails you want done, from a few dollars for simple accents up to a custom quote for full hand-painted sets. Your technician will quote you before starting so there are no surprises at checkout.

Can I bring a photo from Instagram or Pinterest?

Please do. It is the fastest way to get on the same page. We will be honest with you about what translates to your nail length and shape, and what would need a tweak to actually look good on your hand.

How long does nail art last?

As long as the set underneath, so two to three weeks. A quality top coat protects the design, but chrome and delicate hand-painted detail can dull faster if you are in and out of water or cleaning products without gloves.

Aftercare and Nail Health

Why do nails chip, lift, or break?

Enhancements are strong, not indestructible. Chips and lifts usually come from one of these: hands in hot water for long stretches, cleaning chemicals without gloves, using nails to open or scrape things, a hard impact, or the length being more than your lifestyle can support. Oil-based lotion right before an appointment can affect adhesion too.

How do I make my nails last longer?

Cuticle oil every day, no exceptions, because flexible nails break less than dry ones. Gloves for dishes, cleaning, and gardening. Do not use your nails as tools. And if something starts to lift, come in instead of picking at it.

What should I do if a nail chips or breaks?

Call us as soon as you notice it and tell us which nail and what happened. Do not trim, glue, or peel it first, because that usually makes the repair harder. We will get you in and take care of it.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. We stand behind our sets with a 7-day repair guarantee. If a nail chips, lifts, or breaks within 7 days of your appointment and it is a workmanship issue, come back and we will repair it at no charge. Damage from impact, picking, or removal at home is not covered, but reach out anyway and we will work something out.

How does the 7-day guarantee work?

Contact us within 7 days of your service and tell us what happened. We schedule you in, look at the nail, and repair it at no cost when it is on us. The clock runs from your appointment date, so reach out as soon as you notice a problem rather than waiting for your next visit.

Can I remove my nails at home?

We really do not recommend it. Clipping, prying, and peeling take layers of natural nail and leave you thin and sore for months. Salon removal is quick and inexpensive. If you are moving away or cannot get in, call us and we will walk you through the safest way to do it.

My nails feel thin after taking enhancements off. Is that normal?

Some tenderness right after removal is normal, and your nail plate can feel flexible for a week or two. Real thinning almost always comes from over-filing or picking product off rather than from the product itself. Cuticle oil twice a day, a strengthening treatment, and a builder gel overlay while they grow out will get you back to normal.

Can I get my nails done while pregnant?

Most guests do, and it is generally considered fine. Ventilation matters more, so ask for a station with good airflow, and let your technician know so they can keep the service comfortable and skip anything you would rather avoid. If your doctor has given you specific guidance, follow that over ours.

Cleanliness and Safety

How do you sanitize your tools?

Anything that can be reused is scrubbed, disinfected in a hospital-grade solution, and stored clean between guests. Anything porous, meaning files, buffers, and sanding bands, is single use and goes in the trash after your service. If you ever want to see a tool come out of its package, just ask.

Are your pedicure bowls cleaned between guests?

Yes, every single time. Bowls are drained, scrubbed, and disinfected between guests, and we run a deeper cleaning process at close. We would rather run a few minutes behind than rush that step.

Can I bring my own tools?

You are welcome to. Some guests keep their own file and buffer set and bring them in each visit. We will still prep and disinfect the workstation the same way.

Are you licensed and inspected?

Yes. The salon and our technicians are licensed by the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board, and we are subject to state inspection. Licenses are posted in the salon.

What if I am not happy with my service?

Tell us before you leave if you can, because that is when it is easiest to fix. If you get home and something is off, call within 7 days and we will make it right. We would much rather hear it from you than read it later.

Booking, Policies, and Payment

What are your hours?

We are open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 7pm, and Sunday from 11am to 6pm. We also stay open on most holidays when other salons in the area close, so check with us before you assume we are shut.

How do I book an appointment?

Book online through our booking page any time, or call us at 614-618-9999 during business hours. Online booking shows live availability, so it is the fastest way to grab a specific slot.

What happens if I am running late?

Call us. If we can still fit the full service without pushing the guests behind you, we will. If not, we may need to shorten the service or move you to a later time. A good rule is that more than 15 minutes late usually means a change to the plan.

What is your cancellation policy?

Give us as much notice as you can, ideally 24 hours, so we can offer the time to someone on the waitlist. Life happens and we are not looking to nickel and dime anyone, but repeated no-shows may mean we ask for a deposit on future bookings.

Do you require a deposit?

Not for a standard appointment. We do ask for a deposit on large group bookings, parties, and any reservation that holds a big block of time or multiple technicians. We will tell you the amount when we set it up.

Do you take groups, parties, or events?

Yes. Bridal parties, birthdays, and group visits are welcome, and we also host events at the salon. Reach out with your date and headcount so we can staff it properly, and give us as much lead time as you can for weekend groups.

What if I am not sure what to book?

Book the service closest to what you want and add a note, or just call us. We would rather spend two minutes on the phone getting it right than have you sitting in the chair for a service that was not what you had in mind.

Do you take kids?

Yes. We do manicures and pedicures for kids, and it is a popular thing for parents to do together. Keep the service simple for younger children and let us know their age when you book so we schedule enough time.

Do you offer waxing?

We are focused on nail services right now and do not offer full body waxing. If that changes we will announce it, and in the meantime we are happy to point you to someone local we trust.

Is gratuity included?

No, tips are separate and always appreciated but never expected. You can add gratuity to your card at checkout or leave cash with your technician.
